No matter how you celebrate, there are some absolutely inspiring books to get kids in the festive and giving mood during the holidays. What a wonderful time to be thankful and remember what it’s all really about.
An Awesome Book of Thanks!
by Dallas Clayton [$17.95] is the ultimate warm fuzzy. No reader, big or small, will keep from smiling (and wiping a tear from their eye.) The beautiful illustrations take you on a trip of dreaming big & being thankful for what you have.
All about giving: for every book that is sold, Dallas Clayton’s Awesome World Foundation will directly give away one book to a school, hospital, library, or organization in need. That’s awesome!

The Gift of Nothing by Patrick McDonnell [$19.99] is just what the person who has everything needs. This charming story is one of my personal favorites for this time of year… and all year. In a time of giving and getting, we still need the reminder of what truly matters most.
The Trees of the Dancing Goats by Patricia Polacco [$7.99]. While celebrating their Hanukkah tradition,a family pitches in to make and deliver holiday dinners and Christmas trees to their village stricken with scarlet fever. Delicately mingle Jewish and Christian traditions and the joy in sharing and friendship.
The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg [$18.95] is a classic story with amazing artwork. On Christmas Eve, magical train ride adventures await a boy and his belief in Santa Claus. You’ll truly get lost in this book, but will always find your way home.

fun! putting those first 2 on our list!
Great list. Many I didn’t know about.

Love the Polar Express
Great list. I only didn’t know one of them. A very sweet one to try is Mortimer’s Christmas Manger. It’s one of our favorites.
