6 iPhone Games for Preschoolers

My son is really into my “game phone.”  Or, as I call it, my iPhone.  It has saved my life during long waits at doctor’s appointments and car rides that ended up longer than I anticipated.  Oh, and at restaurants.  Basically any time I need a solid 20 minutes of PLEASE PLEASE BE QUIET, I whip out Game Phone.  Here are his favorite apps:

Angry Birds: It’s not just for adults.  My four-year-old loves it.  He also calls it Mad Birds.

Shape Builder:  My son plays this non stop.  He loves finding out what the shape is once he’s finished.

iKnow Phonics: This seems really boring to me, and yet… my son plays it non stop.  Great little learning game.

FirstWords: A simple letter scramble game that teaches spelling and reading.

Giraffe’s Matching Zoo: This is a basic memory game with cute animal icons.

Teddy Bear: We don’t own this one yet, but it’s getting lots of great buzz as being one of the best animated storybook apps.
