We’ve all had our share of awkward grocery check-out line and restaurant moments- kids can and will say the darndest things.
And it’s always at the most inappropriate moment, isn’t it?
Just last summer Gray, then four years old, told our neighbors we were going to rob their house the next time they went out of town.
OMG.
And on more than one occasion he has -quite loudly, mind you- asked if his drink had alcohol in it “BECAUSE I’M ALLERGIC TO ALCOHOL.”
So I know you’ve got some embarrassing stories to share, or at least commiserate… go on- please do tell and make me feel better?

Love this post! I love what goes through the minds of kids. I will have to think about it and check back in with an embarrassing moment.
We were at the Dells in Wisconsin and were going to try a restaurant by the hotel. We sat down and looked at the menu and the prices were really high. When our waitress came back we kindly told her we weren’t staying. She asked if there was something we wanted that wasn’t on the menu. My 3rd oldest says to her, “It’s too expensive.” As he put his coat on!
This happened just the other day on a walk. My daughter, who absolutely knows better as she is eleven, said to our friends we were on a walk with: “Mom, isn’t this where Nana pooped?!” (It just so happened my mom couldn’t control her bowels one day and had to relieve herself in nature last summer, and my daughter has to share this info with everyone now!)
Oh, Steph, that’s too much! LOL Kids are great, aren’t they?
