Before you know it, winter will be gone and the weather will be warming up again. Here are three terrific fashion trends to look forward to this spring.
No more skinny jeans
If you got tired of squeezing into skinny jeans (or refused to do it), you’ll be happy to know that relaxed pants are definitely in style for spring. No matter where you are going, from the office to soccer games, pants with a more comfortable fit are a chic option. Many designers are offering silk pants for work in pajama-like styles. While relaxed jeans, wide-leg trousers and other more comfortable pants are also on-trend for spring as well.
What’s easier to throw on than a shirtdress! Shirtdresses are perfect for moms who want to look pulled together without much effort at all. Simple cotton shirtdress in solid colors are perfectly fine. And if you want to get a little more dressy, pick out a shirtdress in a silky fabric and cute print. Florals, of course, are hot for spring, but also consider bold, graphic patterns too.
Wedges crept back into fashion in 2009 and haven’t left yet. In spring 2011, they are bigger than ever. So skip your stiletto heels when going out and grab a pair of wedges instead. Look for wedge sandals featuring natural touches — like rope espadrilles and wood clog wedges. Wedges can be relatively low or super sky-high. If you choose the high variety, keep in mind that they can be heavy.
