Shoes for Moms

Many women’s shoes aren’t designed with moms in mind. Business women, maybe. Models, of course. But not moms.

Moms need shoes that are comfortable, durable and still cute too. Just because we have kids doesn’t mean our fashion sense is non-existent.

For stylish moms, I suggest these three shoe styles to get you through the day painfree and chic.

Wedge sandals
If you love heels but don’t like the pain, thank goodness wedges are in style this season. Wedge heels distribute your weight over a larger surface area, putting less strain on your back and on your feet.

Kitten heels
If you are headed to the office, you don’t have to wear sky-high pumps. Kitten heels are trendy right now and perfect for workday wear. These low-heeled shoes have just enough height to give you a lift and curve to the heel for a feminine touch.

Ballet flats
I used to live in high heels. Until I started working from home, then I started spending most days wearing socks or slippers. Now when I do venture outside the house, it’s usually in ballet flats. They come in fabulous colors, prints and materials. I love glossy patent ballet flats in fun colors — like purple or red. Metallic flats are also hot right now and a great way to add some glam to any outfit.

The polka dot wedges pictured here are the GUESS Partis sandal. They have a 3 1/2-inch wedge heel, but since they also have a 1 1/2-inch platform, it’s like wearing just a 2-inch heel. You can get these shoes at Nordstrom for about $75.
