We just got invited to a Memorial Day party and I am seriously so excited. I love BBQs and I love that now we don’t have to plan one ourselves! Our whole family is invited, but part of me is tempted to see if the grandparents want to take the kids for the day so we can go kid-free. But then I think back to how I lived for summer parties when I was younger, the new kids you’d meet, and I know my kids will love it, too.
So then I was thinking maybe we should just take the older kids. But- bear with me I know I’m getting a bit wordy- I just love when our whole family is together. And I’m also admittedly thinking of all the family photo ops. So, as I’m talking myself through this, I think we’ll all go together and enjoy.
What are you doing for Memorial Day? Will you celebrate with the kids?
I will probably be cleaning out my back porch. I like to take advantage of days off work to do house stuff when my other family members already have plans. I might start up the grill too.
