Gone are the days when I could pick out the cute matching outfits for my kids. Now they’ve got their own ideas about what they want to wear to school, they’ve got their own styles and preferences. I don’t have a say in anything they wear anymore.
I should be glad they’ve got their own personalities and their own minds to choose what they want to wear, and who they want to be. I am. I just make sure they head to the CLEARANCE racks.
When it comes to back-to-school shopping, I’m not the type of mom who gets in a tizzy weeks before school starts and says, “Come on guys! Time to shop!” I wait it out. They’re not missing out on anything by shopping in early August. Nope. Now is the time to start the shopping.
NOW is when all the stuff everyone else scoured through is on sale. For cheap! We can get exactly what everyone else got for a fraction of the price, and it’s still summer time, it’s still warm enough out (definitely where we live, and probably where you live too, at least for another month), to make the most of these sale items.
And to top it all off, it’s Labor Day weekend. There are sales all over the place, and three days of shopping ahead of you! So hit the malls and find those clearance racks.
