About two years ago I gave up drinking Diet Coke. I used to drink about two to four cans of Diet Coke a day. Now, I drink a lot of ice water, and unsweetened iced tea. I don’t drink coffee every day, but about once a week I’ll treat myself to a Starbucks special drink. I’m happy with this change I’ve made in my life.
If I find that I’m craving a Diet Coke, which I occasionally do, I will mix a third of a can with Crystal Lite lemonade to get the taste. This is a refreshing little concoction I’ve come up with. I’ve always been a fan of Crystal Lite, and was really bummed when they discontinued their Pineapple-Orange flavor.
However, I think I’ve found a new favorite they just introduced! And it’s more for Moms – and I think you’ll love it! Mojito flavor!
It’s crisp and light and so yummy you’ll think you’re drinking the real thing. I tried it the other day and was wowed! I think it’s from their “mocktail” line of beverages, and they may have a margarita flavor too coming out. Next time I mix up a batch of Mojito Crystal Lite, I am going to muddle up some mint and cut up a lime, maybe rim my glass with sugar and tell the kids not to bother me while I enjoy my fake adult beverage.
I seriously felt like I was a grown-up for about two seconds while I was drinking it. But then a kid started screaming and a ball flew past me in the kitchen and life as a stay-at-home mom continued on! Next time, I’ll put the kids to bed first. THEN, I’ll enjoy my beverage!
