Pregnancy tips from celebrity moms

From first time pregnant mama-to-be Molly Sims to Jessica Alba who recently gave birth to her second child, celebrity moms and mamas-to-be have great pregnancy tips to share.

Avoid stretch marks

4-month pregnant Molly Sims believes you can prevent stretch marks from the inside out. Specifically, when you eat. On her blog, Sims lists her “no stretch marks” foods including:

  • Fish, olive, coconut, canola, hempseed, and flaxseed oil
  • Hemp, flax, sesame, sunflower, and pumpkin seeds- Almond and nut butter
  • Salmon and cod
  • Avocados
  • Split peas
  • Lentils
  • Collard Greens

Sims also says that for the greatest amount of success, you should change the way you eat long before you get pregnant.

Look stylish

Kristen Cavallari and her on-again fiance, Chicago Bears quarterback, Jay Cutler, recently announced they’re expecting a baby (and that they’re postponing their wedding until after the baby is born). She’s always had great style, so it will be fun to watch what she wears during her pregnancy.

Hilary Duff has also offered great advice about how to dress during your pregnancy. “Tight clothes are better” the actress and singer told US Magazine. And, not surprisingly, celebrity stylist and new mom Rachel Zoe also had fabulous pregnancy style.

Go green

Actress Jessica Alba is now a business owner. She recently launched Honest Company which sells eco-friendly products, such as diapers, baby wipes, household cleaning and bodycare items for a monthly subscription fee. While pregnant with her first daughter, she began researching how to have a safe home. “I was shocked to learn how many dangerous chemicals were in the products I used, including many I had assumed were safe,” said Alba.
