Happy Monday, y’all. Starting with the return of Bethenny Frankel and ending with the 84th Academy Awards, this is going to be a fabulous week of entertainment. Read on for my list of Weekly Musts.
Must watch
Bethenny Ever After. It’s the Season 3 Premier! Oh how I’ve missed Bethenny’s wit, candor and hilarious take on motherhood and marriage. Moms, if you aren’t watching yet, add this LOL show to your DVR line-up. You won’t be disappointed (I also hear it’s her last season-another reason to tune-in now!). Mondays, 9PM, Bravo.
The 84th Academy Awards. Finally. Doesn’t it feel like we’ve been waiting forever to see George Clooney looking hotter than hot in a tux? Let’s face it, the show is just as much about the golden red carpet sightings as it is about the golden statues. (At least it is for me, anyway.) I’m rooting for dark horse Melissa McCarthy. If she wins, it will make my whole night! Sunday, February 26, 7PM Eastern, ABC.
Must listen
Whitney Houston. Superstar Whitney Houston was laid to rest this past weekend (you can watch the highlights from her funeral here.). In her honor, I recommend, not just watching, but listening to Whitney this week.
Her rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” at the 1991 Superbowl has been talked about a lot since she passed. But have you watched it? Click here to be blown away. The song is also on her Whitney Houston Greatest Hits album.
“One Moment in Time” is a timeless song that represents Whitney Houston at her best and is another of my favorites.
Must read
Entertainment Weekly’s tribute to Whitney Houston. From the 25 Best Songs to The Unforgettable Moments, a beautiful photo album of Houston memories, the tribute is the perfect homage to Whitney. February 24, 2012 (on newsstands now).
Friends like Us by Lauren Fox (in stores now!). From the author of Still Life With Husband, Fox is back with a funny and relatable story about friendship and love. What happens when two BFF’s find their friendship tested after one of them walks down the aisle? This book is definitely a must-read that made my “favorite books shelf.” (I’m also excited that Lauren will be on Chick Lit Is Not Dead on March 6th!)
Have a great week, everyone!
