Real Moms Guide Blogger, Dawn, and I are going to do a Shake Weight Challenge. Why on earth am I going to do a Shake Weight Challenge, you ask?
I have no idea.
We girls were chatting online a few weeks ago, and Laura asked if anyone wanted to test out the Shake Weight. I piped in mentioning that I already owned one. Why do I own one, you ask? Well, I bought one at Target a long while ago because I thought it would be fun to dress up as a Shake Weight girl for Halloween. But like a joke of a Shake Weight girl, if you get my drift – like the opposite of what a real Shake Weight girl looks like. So, I bought it, and yeah. Didn’t dress up as a Shake Weight girl for Halloween.
I did however, use it once. For the whole six minutes that the instructions say you’re supposed to use it for. And I felt ridiculously silly while doing it. We all know why too, right? It’s the most obscene looking exercise ever! In fact, the first time I ever saw the Shake Weight, I was watching Saturday Night Live’s spoof of it and I didn’t think it was a real product! You can view the spoof here, as well as the real commercial (Please note, not exactly safe for work!)
But now I’m going to use it for real! Along with Dawn, because she and I are going to do the Real Moms Guide Blogger Shake Weight Challenge for four weeks, and if you’ve got a Shake Weight, you’re welcome to join in on the challenge with us. We’ll shake it five days a week for six minutes a day – yep, that’s IT! Just six minutes, and we’ll blog about our experiences here, separately each week.
I could really use the challenge too, because as I was drying my hair the other day, well, I noticed my bat wings, and well, let’s just say I look like I’m about ready to find a cave and tuck in for the night. Not pretty. And since I live in Arizona, you’d think I might like to go sleeveless in 110-degree weather sometime, yeah?
It should be fun, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll tone up a little bit! If nothing else, my family’s sure going to get a good laugh at my expense!
