Thanks to super simple curtain hanging wire from Ikea, it’s easy to make a cool display of your kids’ art that can be changed out throughout the school year. The whole set costs you around $15, making it a really easy investment. The most difficult part of putting together this display is measuring and cutting the wire. In addition to the hangers and wire attachments that come in the kit from Ikea, you’ll need sharp wire cutters and a drill.
Find a place that gives you at least five feet of space. Any less than that, and you won’t be able to display much art. I chose the space above our piano because I liked the contrast between the wood and the polished metal curtain wire hardware. I use several little hangers (also from Ikea) to carefully attach paintings my son did at school. During the school year, we switched them frequently, but now that it’s summer, I’ve settled on a few colorful art pieces I loved the most.
This display can also be used to switch out little photos of your family or to hang other types of light arts and crafts projects. Do you have a special way to display your child’s art? I’d love to hear about it!
