What's your inspiration? I'm a California girl and draw a lot of inspiration from the ocean. It has a very calming affect on me and while I watch the waves hit the shore, I make a lot of promises to myself about becoming a better person, being more patient and not sweating the small stuff (still working on that!) And I must admit that since moving to the Midwest, I'm missing that much-needed ocean zen! But my sound machine is a distant second...
What's the one thing you can't live without? I'm assuming we're not saying family here. Because of course, that's a given. So after that, I have to say coffee. Next in line is definitely my MacBook. If I'm not typing on it, working on it, surfing the web on it, then I'm thinking about it. I have a bit of a crush and call him Mac. Is that weird? (Don't answer that!)
What's your favorite part of being a mom?
Watching my daughter grow. Each day, she learns something new about herself or the world. It's fascinating to watch!
What's the single best piece of advice you can share with other moms? So many moms around me have been an inspiration as I've watched them successfully juggle their families, careers and lives.
The best advice I've received so far is that being a mom will be the hardest job I've ever had and to remember that I will make many mistakes and that's okay. That it's not possible to be the perfect mother. (Did I mention that I'm a perfectionist?)
